A basic Chicken recipe made with whole Indian spices and chicken is cooked in a basic gravy made with onions, tomatoes and ginger garlic paste and with Indian powdered spices.

Chicken (diced) 400 gms
Oil 2 tbsp
Onions (Fine chopped) 4
Tomatoes (pureed) 2
Bay leaf 1
Cinnamon Stick 1
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder 1 tbsp
Garam Masala 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder ½ tbsp
Salt to taste
Fresh Coriander to garnish
Process:
- Take a pan, and put it on a medium heat, put cinnamon stick & bay leaf in the oil. Put the onions in the pan and sauté. As the onions started to turn brown put in the ginger garlic paste and mix well.
- Put in the tomatoes and mix well, add coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric and mix. Cover the pan and let it be on low flame for 10 mins.
- Add the diced chicken & again cover for 10 mins. Add garam masala n check the seasoning.
- Add one cup water and let it simmer for last 10 mins. As the oil comes up the chicken is ready. Garnish with fresh coriander and sprinkle garam masala. Serve hot.
